A perfect location for exploring Touraine and the famous Loire Valley and its castles.

Rochecorbon is a charming  village between Tours and Vouvray. The former, the Capital of Touraine is only 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bicycle. It is  calm and  picturesque  and perfectly situated  for a stop over while visiting a few of the lovely  chateaux of the Loire Valley (classified by UNESCO as World Heritage sites: Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau, Chaumont, Langeais, Blois, the Royal Fortress of Chinon, - all these chateaux are a mere half hour drive away). A little further afield  (less than an hour away), you can enjoy the exceptional Chateau of Chambord,   the theme park Futuroscope, Angers and Terra Botanica park.

Rochecorbon, in the heart of the Vouvray vineyards, allows you to visit on foot or by bike the Vineyard route  («circuit des vignes»), to visit the wine makers’cellars and to sample their wines.

The Loire River flows 400 metres from the house.  You can go on very pleasant boat trips or cycle along the towpath following the famous cycle circuit «La Loire à vélo» that runs from Nantes to Orleans through heritage sites. This circuit takes you into the heart of Tours (in 20 minutes) without ever coming across a car.
